A photographic illuminated frame view-finder includes two portions of a frame, each of the portions defining two adjacent corners of the frame and both portions being arranged on one side of, and outside, the view-finder image beam, two reflecting systems, each for reflecting an image of a different frame portion into the path of the view-finder image beam, and partially reflecting and partially transmitting means positioned in the view-finder image beam and arranged to allow the transmission of the viewfinder image beam while reflecting the rays from each of the frame portions that have been reflected by the respective reflecting systems into the viewfinder image beam so as to define an imagebounding frame, the arrangement being such that the separation between the two frame portions in a direction perpendicular to the optical axis of the view-finder is less than the separation between the images of the two frame portions in the view-finder in the same direction. The viewfinder may comprise a translucent front plate 2 having a transparent objective lens 2a, an eyepiece 3, an angled plate 5 bearing two pairs of frame marks 5a, 5b, and a prism 6 having two mirror surfaces 6a, 6b which reflect light from marks 5a, 5b respectively on to a semi-transparent mirror 4 and into the view-finder image beam, a lens being provided on prism 6 to form the images of the frame marks. In an alternative embodiment, Figs.2 and 2a (not shown) marks 5b are coplanar with marks 5a and either only light from marks 5a passes through a lens (10) on prism 6, or light from marks 5a and 5b are passed through different lenses. Distance and exposure indicators 5c, 5d with associated needles 8, 9 may be provided adjacent marks 5b, 5a so as to be visible in the view-finder.
