Abstract
1306020 Mixing apparatus INSTA-FOAM PRODUCTS Inc 7 Oct 1971 46619/71 Heading B1C Two simultaneously actuatable valves, which are opened by tilting the valve stems 81, are provided in the pistol grip of a projector for a two component resin, such as foamed polyurethane, so that only mixing nozzle 18 and connecting pipes 76 need be discarded each time the apparatus is to be re-used. As shown, a pressurised container (27) holds isocyanate resin and a propellant gas and a pressurised container (29) holds a polyol, catalyst, foaming agent and propellant gas. On pulling trigger 56, each liquid flows through a valve port 86, in the tilted valve stem 81 (Fig. 6), which is connected to pipes 76. The slotted plastics mixing nozzle, Fig. 7, has a mixing insert 122 of polythene or polypropylene.
