Abstract

1305576 Typewriters E YAMASHITA 22 Oct 1970 [25 Oct 1969] 50283/70 Heading B6F A word counting arrangement for typewriters comprises a switch 4 operated in response to character key actuation and a switch 5 operated in response to space bar or carriage return and line space lever actuation, the switches 4, 5 acting to sat and reset respectively a flip-flop 1, an output 6 from which passes a pulse through a differentiating circuit 7 and a mono-stable multivibrator 8 to a counter 10 which registers each character key actuation which follows a space bar or carriage return operation to count words typed. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,220,067.
