Abstract
1304910 Equalizers STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd 5 Aug 1970 37732/70 Heading H4R Receiving circuit for pulses, e.g. in a regenerative repeater in a pcm transmission system, has a variable equalizer the attenuation and slope of which is controlled by the peak value of the detected signal. Fig. 2 shows the variable equalizer comprising a ladder network of CR sections with diodes D1 to D6 connected in series in a D.C. control current path so that the attenuation and slope of the equalizer is dependent on the control current derived by peak detection of the equalizer output.
