1302264 Forms of wood H WEINSTOCK 8 June 1970 [12 May 1970] 27513/70 Heading B5L A method of forming a composite structural timber member from two timber elements each of substantially rectangular cross-section, comprises forming parallel tongues of substantially square cross-section on one of the major faces of one element, forming parallel grooves of substantially-the same cross-section as that of the tongues in one of the major faces of the other element, and assembling the structural member by inserting the tongues in the grooves. Further tongues and grooves may be provided on the minor faces and end faces of the elements, which may be glued together. The composite member may be used in floors, panelling, or roofing.
