Abstract

1301197 Mono-amine salts of 2,4-dichlorodiphenoxy-acetic acid SPOLANA NATIONAL CORP 17 March 1970 12665/70 Heading C2C A mono-amine salt of 2,4-dichlorodiphenoxyacetic acid is prepared by reacting with an amine a solution of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid in a solvent in which the said amine is soluble and the monoamine salt of said acid is insoluble and recovering the solid monoamine salt. The examples describe the preparation of the diethylamine salt of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid. The amine salts are employed as active ingredients in herbicidal compositions.
