Abstract

130,033. Leeming, J. A., and Henderson, W. A. C. Dec. 29, 1917. Stops, attaching and forming.-Relates to clamps or stops for the ropes of ropeways. The stop is of the kind comprising two elements hinged together at one side and adapted to be secured together at the other side by a pin engaging suitable holes in interfitting parts. Figs. 2 and 3 show elements 1, 1<a> which interfit and are held together by pins 4, 7, the latter of which may be removed to detach the stop from the rope. Through the element 1, a hole is tapped to receive a screw, for instance a grub-screw 8, which, on being screwed in, presses a part of the rope into a recess 9 to secure the stop in position on the rope.
