Abstract
1297546 Oxymethylene polymer and polyesteramide compositions; polyesteramide preparations SOC ITALIANA RESINE SpA 27 Oct 1970 [14 Nov 1969] 51077/70 Headings C3P and C3R A composition, comprises an oxymethylene polymer, a lactone-lactam copolymer, and, optionally an antioxidant, preferably phenolic. The preparation of the polyesteramide copolymers is described, e.g. caprolactone-caprolactam or pyrrolidone in bulk in the presence of sodium. In examples, acetylated polyformaldehyde is stabilized with a caprolactone or valerolactone - caprolactam, laurolactam or pyrrolidone copolymer and, in some cases, also 4,4<SP>1</SP>- butylidene - bis - (6 - t - butyl - 3 - methylphenol), pentaerythryl - tetra - beta - (4<SP>1</SP>- hydroxy - 3<SP>1</SP>,5<SP>1</SP> - di - t - butyl phenyl) - propionate, 2,2<SP>1</SP> - methylene - bis - (4 - methyl 6- t-butyl phenol), n-octadecyl beta-(4<SP>1</SP>-hydroxy- 3<SP>1</SP>,5<SP>1</SP> - di - t - butyl phenyl) propionate, or 3 moles 3 - methyl - 6 - t - butyl phenol - 1 mole crotonaldehyde reaction product.
