1297066 Umbrella cases BREMSHEY A G 16 April 1970 [9 May 1969] 18235/70 Headings A4P and A4G A case 1 suitable for an umbrella of the type, Fig.8 (not shown), which when closed is generally rectangular in plane view, comprises two opposed wide side walls 2 and (3), Fig.3 (not shown), two opposed narrow side walls 4, 5, a bottom wall (6), and a closure flap 8 extending from the wall (3) and arranged to be folded over the wall 2 to close a mouth of the case, the wall 2 having a downwardly extending recess 14 which is entirely covered by the flap when it is in its closed position. The flap is substantially of the same width as the wall 2 except for two indentations 22. The recess is tapered towards part of a press stud 10, the other part of which is mounted on a metal strip 28 on the flap. The walls 2, (3) are each formed by two layers (W1), (W2), Fig. 6 (not shown) with a central reinforcing layer (26) which is interrupted to facilitate bending of the flap or folding of the case, Fig. 5 (not shown). The upper ends of the walls 4, 5 are looped, Fig. 7 (not shown).
