Shuttles, changing bobbins in, automatically.- A bobbin feeler 4, Fig. 1, on an arm 5 on a shaft 6 is normally pressed back by the weft on the bobbin 7 to such an extent that a pawl on the shaft raises an arm 9 on a spring-controlled bar 13 out of the path of a toothed cam-oscillated lever 3, but when the bobbin is exhausted the arm 9 is engaged by the lever 3, and by means of levermechanism 19, 20 a shaft 21, Figs. 1 and 3, is rocked. The end 23 of a lever 22 on the shaft 21 then engages a sleeve with oblique surfaces 24 on a driving-shaft 1, and causes a cam 26 to be clutched to the shaft. By means of a fork 27, lever-mechanism 28, 29, 30, a yielding rod 31, 32, and a crank 33, carriers 34 of the kind described in Specification 7205/09 are operated to seize the bottom bobbin in the magazine 36 and position it over the shuttle, into which it is then transferred by a bobbin changer 42 operated by lever mechanism 41, 40 from the cam 26. The weft ends are secured to an arm 44. The lever 3 has a second notch, which engagesa thread feeler or weft fork 15 to cause the bobbin-changing mechanism to be operated when the weft breaks. In the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a), the weft fork 15 is stated to operate loom stopping-mechanism. This subject-matter does not occur in the Specification as accepted.
