Abstract

1296280 Bearings LINDE AG 20 Aug 1970 [21 Aug 1969] 40047/70 Heading F2A A bearing bush 6 is provided with annular grooves 12, 13, 14, 15 which impart to the bush sufficient radial elasticity to counteract differential thermal expansion occurring due to temperature differences between the journal 3, the bush 6 and the bearing seating 8. The annular grooves are disposed in the bush with their major cross-sectional dimension lying axially of the bearing. In an alternative embodiment (Fig. 2, not shown) the grooves are provided in the bearing seating. Lubricant is supplied to the bearing via ducts 17 and 18.
