Abstract

1296134 Cleaning cylindrical filters STORK AMSTERDAM NV 26 March 1970 [27 March 1969] 14725/70 Heading BID Inward flow filter element 6 is cleaned with filtered liquid from chamber 21 by moving piston 13 downwards so that the liquid is forced up tube 20 and out through annular gap 19 so that the liquid is forced through spaces 8 in the element 6 as gap 19 passes downwards past the, spaces 8. After cleaning the element, filtered liquid is drawn into space 21 through tube 20 by suction as piston 13 is drawn upwards. The element 6 may have a wire sleeve wound on it, or spaces 8 may be filled with filtering media. Element 6 may also comprise filter rings and metal rings clamped together by rods.
