Abstract

1294249 Driving auxiliary apparatus ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AB 26 March 1970 [31 March 1969] 14738/70 Heading B7H [Also in Divisions F1 and H2] On a fork lift truck, a load is lifted when pressure medium is pumped into operating cylinder 1 by means of a variable displacement pump 5 which is driven by a shunt motor 8, 9. The rotor 21 of the pump has radial slots 22 slidably housing blades 23. The displacement of the pump is decreased by raising cylinder 24, which is provided with holes 25, until the members 21, 24, are coaxial, whereupon the displacement is zero. When the cylinder 24 is lifted further, the displacement increases but the liquid flow is reversed although the pump rotates in the same direction. When the load is being lowered and the pressure in the cylinder 1 is sufficient, the pump drives the motor which then acts as a generator returning current to battery 10. The lowering speed is determined by adjusting the displacement of the pump.
