1293561 Refrigerators PHILIPS GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN NV 21 Jan 1970 [21 Jan 1969] 3270/69 Heading F4H A refrigerator cabinet comprises an insulating body 2 of foamed plastics material formed between an inner lining 1 of P.V.C. sheet material and an outer container 3 of sheet cardboard covered with a surface layer of metal or plastic, and breaker strips 4, 5 are located along the open edges of the cabinet which have grooves or slots 10, 11 formed by flanges to define an external groove for the insertion of the front edges of finishing panels 12, 13. The breaker strips are formed of a moulded plastics material and may be formed with an embedded steel strip or comprise several flanges defining several grooves. The wiring of an electrical circuit may be supported adjacent the outer layer of the insulating body, and steel reinforcing members 14 ... 17 are embedded in the insulation material. It is stated that the presence of a void created during the foaming operation is detectable through the flexible lining by applying pressure thereto, and can be remedied by making an aperture at this point and injecting additional foam-forming material into the void and thereafter sealing the aperture.
