Abstract

1293101 Carrier bags EQUITABLE BAG CO Inc. 11 June 1971 27429/71 Heading A4G [Also in Division B5] A side-gussetted, square bottomed carrier bag has reinforcement patches 38, 40 adjacent the upper edges of the front and rear panels. The height of the reinforcement patches is approximately equal to the width of the side panels and the patch 40 has incised lines 42 to facilitate closing of the bag. A handle 54 extends outwardly through a slit 56 in the front panel 46 and patch 38 and is inserted through a complementary slit 58 in the rear panel 48 and patch 40 to hold the bag closed. The reinforcement patches do not extend to the top of the bag so providing a soft lip. The bag has a single longitudinal seam 62.
