Abstract
1292014 Polymers of glycol terephthalate-bis acrylate CELANESE CORP 19 April 1971 [16 Feb 1970] 22347/71 Heading C3P [Also in Division C2] A resinous polymer of the diacrylate of bis- (2-hydroxyethyl) terephthalate is prepared by converting bis-(2-hydroxyethyl) terephthalate into its diacrylate and heating the diacrylate to effect polymerization. A catalyst such as benzoyl peroxide, dicumyi peroxide or azoisobutyronitrile may be used. Fillers such as clay, mica, silicates, magnesium oxide, asbestos, tile, glass fibres or graphite fibres may be present.
