Abstract
1291799 Fuel injection systems ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 6 Aug 1971 [8 Aug 1970] 37004/71 Heading G1N In an I.C. engine fuel injection control system, the duration of each opening pulse of at least one electromagnetic injection valve is determined by a basic opening pulse provided by a monostable multi-vibrator 25 and a prolongation pulse added at the end of the basic pulse, the prolongation pulse being provided by a stage 27 and having a duration dependent upon the preceding basic pulse, a correcting stage 30 being provided and including a monostable switching stage which is triggered at the end of each basic pulse to influence the prolongation stage for the duration of its unstable state, its influence being variable to vary the duration of the prolongation pulse by a voltage divider 91, 92, 93 so as to adjust for manufacturing tolerances in various sensors of the system. As shown, the duration of the prolongation pulse is determined by the discharge time of a capacitor 60, which is charged during the basic pulse, the correcting stage 30 influencing the discharge current during its unstable state, which is constant and shorter than the duration of the prolongation pulse.
