Abstract
1291666 Measuring fluid-flow; fluid actuation of switches SULZER BROS Ltd 4 June 1971 [18 June 1970] 19078/71 Heading G1R [Also in Division H1] In a fluid-flow device having a plurality of electrically magnetizable floats movable in duct 2 and co-operable with electrical contacts 8, the contacts 8 comprise two conductors, such as tubes 7, one on each side of the ducts 2, and a series of permanent magnets 13, each magnet 13 located within the tube 7 and having a length equal to, or at least the distance between, adjacent duct 2 and each end of each magnet being in the region of a duct 2. The magnet 13 may be separated from one another by a non- magnetizable material 14, such as brass, plastics, air or oil. Each tube 7 is connected via member 9 and conductors 10 to an alarm.
