Abstract

1291413 Printing apparatus MANDREL INDUSTRIES Inc 7 Jan 1971 [19 Jan 1970] 835/71 Heading B6C Cans 14 are fed one by one by a star wheel 15 to between a driving wheel 16 and a concentric guide 17, and are printed on by an inked wheel 18, which is mounted on the same axle 41 as the driving wheel 16, but is spaced axially from it. If discharge of cans along guides 23 and 24 is stopped, so that printed cans accumulate, movement of a guide portion 22 stops the feeding of cans. As each can 14 leaves the guide 17 it contacts a guide portion 21 and moves it to cause an appropriate amount of ink to be pumped to an inking roller 118, and so to the inked wheel 18.
