Abstract

1291401 Garment racks, brackets LINDE A G 12 Jan 1971 [20 Feb 1970] 1335/71 Headings A4B and A4U In a garment rack, garment hangers 12 are supported on a hanger rail 7 at a distance from a vertical wall which is adjustable to suit the width of the garment supported, the rail 7 being engaged in a hook 6 of a support member 4, which has an end part of trapezoidal section and slidable in a groove of the same section in the under surface of a support arm 1 having a hook 3 by which it is mounted on the wall. The support member 4 is locked by a screw 5 in adjusted position on the arm 1 which is a hollow aluminium bar and has a closure plate 10 through which a steel hanger bar 12 of triangular section is slidable for use as a temporary support for garment hangers. The hook 3, arm 1 and support 4 are preferably formed as aluminium castings. The rail 7 is of oval cross-section and apertures near the abutted ends of two rail sections are engaged by retaining pins 8, 9 in each hook.
