1291009 Artificial teeth V E NARBONI 14 June 1971 [29 June 1970 8 Dec 1970] 27727/71 Heading A5R A dental prosthesis I adapted to be secured in a removable manner in the mouth by anchoring to the adjacent tooth or teeth, the prosthesis including one or more false teeth, an anchoring hook 6 arranged for angular movement against the action of a return spring about an axis substantially at right angles to the horizontal plane or planes of the false tooth or teeth, and a container 5 in which a part of the hook is arranged. The hook 6 has a slot 9 which provides for sliding and pivotal movement about the screw 7 against the action of a spring 11. A second hook 12 integral with the prosthesis is provided to co-operate with the hook 6. In an alternative embodiment, Figure 7 (not shown), the anchoring hook is formed of resilient material and comprises two hook portions (14d, 14e) joined together by a loop, the two hook portions being arranged to be spread apart by resilient deformation of the loop.
