Abstract

Both the tape and web have a material which changes colour when subjected to pressure. The tape 8, having passed through a thermal fixing device 9, is wound onto a spool 11, and thereafter constitutes a record which can be mechanically read. The web 1 is transversely cut to form sheets, and thereafter constitutes hard copies. Prior art disclosure.-German Specification 1,152,838 discloses an inking tape which is used for preparing the hard copy in such a way that its layer of ink, when struck by a type, is completely removed, thus producing in the inking tape a negative character which can be mechanically read.
