Abstract

1289601 Break spinning SKF KUGELLAGERFABRIKEN GmbH 24 April 1970 [3 May 1969] 19849/70 Heading DID A break spinning device has a means 32 for creating an electrostatic field through which the fibres pass on their way to the spinning rotor 10. The electrostatic means comprises electrodes connected to the rotor and fibre feed device. There is also a baffle 20 to prevent movement of fibres out of the rotor. As shown, the electrodes are formed by the feed rollers 26 and the rotor 10. The rotor 10 can be made of an electrically insulating material having an inner conducting layer 18 on the inner face thereof. The fibre feed may be in a direction coaxial or offset from the axis of the rotor. The guide tube 24 is preferably made of insulating material.
