Abstract

1289579 Load-responsive fluid pressure brakes ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 20 Aug 1970 [21 Aug 1969] 40063/70 Heading F2F A load-responsive brake pressure regulator for a motor vehicle has two pressure responsive members 3, 4 of which member 3 is subject to brake pressure upstream of the regulator and member 4 actuates a valve 6 controlling flow of fluid to brake cylinders downstream thereof, the members 3, 4 being interconnected by a lever 9 having a variable position fulcrum adjustable in response to vehicle static loading by a member formed by eccentric shafts 12, 19 and an axially movable sleeve 15, the said member being adjustable against a prestressed compression spring (28) mounted therein between an end (26) of a bush (27) and a cover (29) secured to the sleeve 15. Shaft 19 is coupled to a vehicle axle 42 by way of a linkage 41 and lever 40 and shaft 12 is connected by a lever 20 to a double piston 21 movable in a fluid-filled cylinder 22 to act as a movement damper.
