1288587 Automatic voltage control ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 28 Nov 1969 [30 Nov 1968] 58196/69 Heading G3R [Also in Division H2] A battery 14, e.g. in a railway carriage, is charged by two generators 10, 30 whose field windings 17, 70 are so controlled by two similar voltage regulators 11, 31, that the latter generator, when starting up, is the first to attain its operating voltage. The regulator 11 comprises an input, a power, and a driver transistor 35...37 arranged in Darlington connection and connected to the winding 17 and to positive and negative output leads 23, 22 whose voltage, when sufficient, causes a Zener diode 52 to become conductive.
