Abstract
1288190 Article dispensing apparatus PERNOD EQUIPEMENT INTERNATIONAL S A 19 April 1971 9801/71 Heading A4T In a vending machine comprising a shaft 1 containing stacked articles 11, 11a with a pressure member 16 resting on top of the stack and slidable in the shaft without tilting the stack is supported at the bottom on a spring-loaded flap 2 hinged at 3 and movable e. g. magnetically or by electric motor, or by a button or slide 10 pushing pin 6 in slot 7. The flap has an upstanding sloping portion 4 abutting stop 21 which deflects the bottom pocket 11a to the right by the distance 12. On turning the flap down following arrow 13, the portion 4 pushes article 11a off the flap to fall through delivery shute 14, 15, the curved top of portion 4 moving under the next article to support the stack which is presented from tipping by member 16. The shaft is adjustable in width to accommodate different sized packets by means of a plate 23, depending from a hinging hook at the top of the shaft, and positioned by means of comb 24 engaging the shaft wall. Two shafts may be secured back to back at 17 to use the same shute 15, the two flap being mechanically or electrically inter-locked so that only one may be pivoted at a time.
