1288041 Coating apparatus ROBINSONS WAXED PAPER CO Ltd 29 Oct 1969 [1 Nov 1968 16 June 1969] 51829/68 and 30484/69 Heading D1L A coating liquid is fed under pressure through a porous material 28 to a receptor surface 10, e.g. a paper web, carried by an endless belt 18. The liquid may be heated, the device including heaters 34. The porous material may be a sintered bronze or stainless steel, a mesh, a foamed plastics or a felt. Pneumatic cylinders control the pressure of the device on the surface 10. A shutter may be provided to cover the material 28. The belt 10 may be air supported.
