Abstract

1287446 Nuts FIRTH CLEVELAND FASTENINGS Ltd 21 Sept 1970 [27 June 1969] 32496/69 Heading F2H A nut 10 having a step 13 on one face thereof is provided with an adhesive material 14 on the land of the step. The nut may be formed of two square or rectangular body sections 11 and 12, the former being of smaller dimensions and the step may be formed on all four sides (Fig. 5, not shown). The adhesive layer which may be protected by a non-adhesive backing strip may be of methyl-cyanoacrylate and may be used to hold a plurality of nuts together in a row. Grooves or corrugations (Figs. 7-9, not shown) may be provided on the lands to enhance the sticking of the adhesive.
