1287257 Lighting fittings PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 19 April 1971 [14 April 1970] 26604/71 Heading F4R A light-transmitting plate 1 for a fluorescent lighting fitting has strip-shaped prisms 2 extending in the longitudinal direction and a pair of upright edges 3 parallel to the prisms and provided with grooves 4 which support an electrostatic screen. The screen may take the form of a metallic wire netting 5 or a louvred metal plate (Figs. 2, 3, not shown) which also prevents dazzle. The netting may be embedded in a glass plate.
