Abstract

1287088 Clips HARTCO CO 21 Aug 1970 [29 Aug 1969] 40425/70 Heading E2B [Also in Division B8] A clip assembly for use in the magazine of a clip-clinching tool T comprises a plurality of U-shaped clips 11 arranged on a longitudinal row with their axes spaced apart with the side legs of the clips disposed in side-by-side relationship so that the crown portions 15 of the clips collectively establish an upwardly facing surface and a carrier strip 12 co-extensive with and overlying the row of clips and adhesively bonded to the row of clips. As shown, the carrier strip is a pressure sensitive tape. In another form, Fig. 5-7 (not shown), the carrier strip is a pliant material adhered directly to the clips. The assembly may be coiled for storage or for use in a tool, Fig. 9 (not shown).
