1286474 Inductors MULLARD Ltd 10 Dec 1969 60343/69 Heading HIT To reduce the sensitivity of a magnetic cored inductor 1, 2 to movement of the magnetic slug 10, which provides variable shunting of the air gap 5, the cross-section of the bore of at least one of the core halves is stepped or tapered. The core members and slug 10 may be of ferrite and the bores may be shaped during pressing or by subsequent machining.
