Abstract
1284131 Fuel injection pumps ROTO-DIESEL 15 Oct 1969 [17 Oct 1968] 50614/69 Heading F1A In a fuel injection pump having a rotary distributer 3 journalled in a sleeve 2, fuel supplied by a feed pump is degasified before entering the pumping chamber. A chamber 6 formed in the sleeve and into which a fuel feed conduit 5 opens communicates with a further chamber 7 via a passage 9 and annular groove 8. Gas rises in chamber 7 and is bled off via a capillary 14, formed by the pump housing 1 and a throttle valve 10, to be returned to the fuel reservoir. The degasified fuel enters the distributer inlet via an axial bore 11 in the valve 10. In another embodiment, Fig.4 (not shown) the annular groove is axially displaced from the radial plane containing the chambers.
