Abstract

Ammonia is recovered from the ammoniacal liquor from plants for purifying gases from producers or the like by first concentrating the liquor, distilling with lime until a considerable proportion, for example 75-80 per cent, of the ammonia is recovered, and then running the liquor remaining in the still into a producer to recover the rest of the ammonia.
