Abstract

1282647 Ignition interrupters DUCELLIER & CIE 22 Dec 1969 [27 Dec 1968] 62272/69 Heading H1N [Also in Division F1] A contact breaker assembly for an I.C. engine comprises a cam actuating a pivoted rocker arm which has two contacts, movable with its non- pivoted end, which co-operate with two fixed contacts. A rocker arm 2 pivoted on shaft 3 has a projection 2a engaged by the lobes of cam 1 so as to alternately abut moving contacts 5, 6 respectively with fined contacts 7, 8, both of which are adjustable, contact 8 being connected to one end of the leaf spring 11. The four-contact arrangement enables a four-lobed cam to control an eight-cylinder engine.
