Abstract

128,222. Soc Anon. Usines de Keukelaere..Tan. 29, 1916, [Convention date]. Fatty oils, extracting by pressure. The seed chamber 2 of an hydraulic press is made in one with the body 1 of the press, the piston 4 of which expels the crushed material from the chamber after the oil has been expressed. The liner consists of a number of bars 6, Fig. 5, having lateral grooves 13. When the piston rises into the chamber 2 any material adhering to the liner is scraped off by rings 16. At the lower end of the piston are leathers 17, Fig. 4, held open by wooden rings 18 which are retained by rings 19, 20. The cover 25 engages lateral lugs on the chamber 2 and is moved into and out of position by bevel and screw mechanism 28, 27. The chamber 2 is surrounded by a heating coil 32.
