Abstract

1282041 Initiating a work cycle in a moving tender LEESONA CORP 28 July 1969 [29 July 1968] 37842/69 Heading DID A system for starting a work cycle in a patrolling tender 26 moving past a stand processing or handling machine e.g. the spindle of a ring frame comprises first photo means 80, 76 for providing a signal when the station is operational, second photo means 82, 86 or 90, 92 for providing a signal when servicing is required and third means responsive to the combination of signals to start a work cycle in the tender. If a roving breaker 64 is in the upright position of Fig. 2 then a ray from source 80 is reflected to cell 76 indicating that the station is operational. If yarn Y is absent a ray from source 86 is not reflected to cell 82, indicating the yarn absence. The combination of these two states initiates a work cycle in the tender. Alternatively if the yarn Y is present but the cells 88 indicate that the bobbin 18 is full, then the appropriate cycle is iniated.
