Thrust bearings.- In a thrust bearing of the Michell type, the bearing blocks B are mounted in pairs on rocking members C supported in a housing-ring D which rests on a spherical seat A<3> to render it self-alining. The members C rock on pivot pins C<1> in slots d in the housing, or un radial knife-edges placed in recesses in the housing. Projections b<x>, d<x> prevent the blocks from being carried round with the shaft.
