Abstract

1281264 Firearms T S NELSEN 7 April 1970 [1 May 1969] 16325/70 Heading F3C A firearm comprises a trigger mechanism, a plurality of barrels 27, 28 an electrically conductive firing pin 26 for each barrel and an electronic firing circuit controlled by the trigger mechanism and connected to the firing pins and to a source of electrical energy for energizing a different one the firing pin in response to each successive trigger signal spaced apart by a period of time greater than a predetermined minimum. In the construction shown the firing pins are spring loaded and connected adjacent their rear ends by an actuator block 38 such that when the firearm is broken, the firearm being of the drop-down barrel variety, the firing pins are withdrawn into the frame 37 of the firearm. Three trigger mechanisms are disclosed (Figs. 3, 5, 10, not shown) the movement of each trigger'thereof being limited by an adjustable stop and movement of each of the triggers actuating a device to produce a pulse of current. Two control circuits which dictate the sequence of firing of the barrels are described in detail (Figs. 7, 8, not shown) as is a firing circuit (Fig. 9, not shown).
