1280399 Shearing PRESS & SHEAR MACHINERY CO Ltd (W Beyeler) 19 April 1971 [21 April 1970] 19016/70 Heading B3W One of two fluid-actuated rams 21 for operating a movable cutter blade 4 can be isolated by means of a valve from a fluid supply pump, the extra fluid being supplied to the other ram to increase the cutting speed for sheet metal e.g. up to about 50% of the maximum thickness the shear is designed to cut. The blade 4 is at a rake angle of approximately 1¢ degrees to the fixed blade 6. Pneumatic cylinders 24 return the blade 4.
