Abstract

1280123 Epoxy resins INVENTA AG FUR FORSCHUNG UND PATENTVERWERTUNG 27 May 1971 [29 May 1970] 17576/71 Addition to 1280124 Heading C3B Glycidyl compounds are prepared by reacting a polyisocyanate with one or both of the compounds in which n is an integer and X represents a halogen atom. The polyisocyanate may be isophorone diisocyanate or tolylene diisocyanate. Compounds (2) and (4) above arise when a cyclododecanediol is reacted with an epihalohydrin and the product dehydrohalogenated in accordance with the parent Specification. The products may be cross-linked to resinous materials using conventional epoxy resin hardeners.
