1279760 Fluid regulator C H WARMAN 12 Nov 1970 53861/70 Heading G3H A regulator for controlling the flow of abrasive liquid suspensions from a lined vessel 1, comprises three body members 2, 10, 12, an annular resilient pressure ring 7, and a replaceable resilient and wear-resisting sleeve 5, the sleeve and ring being shown in their relaxed states. Constricting of the flow passage, for example to the position shown in chain dotted lines 21, is effected by operating an hydraulic cylinder 18 and so introducing fluid into an annular space 17. Fluid so introduced causes an inward expansion of ring 7 and a similarly directed contraction sleeve 5.
