Abstract

1278362 Electric motors having stationary permanent magnets TOKYO KAGAKU KK 1 April 1970 [2 April 1969] 15506/70 Heading H2A An electric motor, e.g. for a toy or for teaching purposes, comprises a metallic casing 1 having a cylindrical inner wall 1c to which is attached an arcuate permanent magnet 4, an end wall 1a, and an end opening 1b in which is fitted an insulating end closure member 3; in the casing is a rotor 5 having coils 5d and a rotary shaft 5c supported by two bearings respectively in the end wall la and closure member 3 and having near one end a commutator 5b; on the inner surface of the closure member 3 is a means supporting the respective intermediate ring portions 7a, 8a of two mutually insulated wire brushes 7, 8 which contact near their respective end portions commutator segments 5e, 5f and which are electrically connected to respective terminals provided on the closure member 3 and by the casing 1. As shown, the means is an integral projection 3a, a bearing cap 6 having legs 6a, 6b forms one terminal, and a bracket 10 connects to the other terminal. The motor is resiliently supported in a frame 11 by spring plates 11b, 11c connected to an A.C. source.
