Abstract

1277166 Ball-and-ring mills; roller andring mills CARLE & MONTANARI SpA 14 Oct 1970 [18 Oct 1969] 48843/70 Heading B2A A mill comprises a cylindrical rotor 4, Fig. 1, coaxial with and rotatable in a cylindrical casing 7, and grinding elements (balls 6 or rollers) positively guided on a defined helical path. Projections 5 formed on the outer wall of the rotor. The casing 7 is jacketted at 8. Material to be ground is supplied by a pump 11 and discharged at 13. In an alternative embodiment, rollers 6' have axially extending hulbs 6a and are guided in projections 5' which have slots 5a, Fig. 7.
