Abstract

1276995 Selective printing F BREDE 19 April 1971 [5 Feb 1970] 20640/71 Addition to 1229093 Heading B6F A ticket printing machine with a rotary printing head as described in parent Specification has a displaceable roller 40 which is pressed against a ticket blank 13 by a chamfered shoulder 42 on an electromagnetically pivoted lever 34. The ticket blank 13 is consequently advanced by the serrations 11 on the type blocks during printing. Ticket blank material is advanced by a pair of nip rollers 16, 18 past a light barrier 14 and knives 25 and 58 and is detected at the printing head by a light barrier 29. Thereupon the electromagnet 50 pivots lever 34 and at the same time causes the lever 56 carrying knife 58 to pivot so that a ticket blank is transversely severed. An inking roller 64 is guided in a slot 66 and is pressed against the rotary printing head 10 by means of an arm 68 when a magnet 70 is actuated and an ink-replenishing roller 72 contacts the inking roller 64.
