Abstract
1276704 Valves SIEMENS AG 9 June 1969 [7 June 1968] 29123/69 Heading F2V [Also in Division F1] The admission of actuating gas to the working chamber of a diaphragm pump is controlled by two mechanically actuated snap-action threeway valves. In each valve in one embodiment, Fig. 3, a closure member 73 is movable to selectively close part 74 or 75 by means of a push-rod 71 acting on a leaf spring 72a connected to the member 73 via a U-spring 72b. The members 73 of the two valves may be connected to the same U-spring to be actuated in common. In another embodiment, Fig. 4a, the closure member 86, 87 of each valve is connected to a part 90a of a stirrup 90, 90a which carries a pretensioned leaf spring 91. Push-rods act on the spring 91 (Figs. 4b-4d, not shown) to effect snap over this in turn causes movement of the stirrup and the closure members. In a further embodiment (Fig. 7, not shown) the stirrup is connected to the stems of ball valve members of three-way valves.
