Abstract

1,236,063. Valves. TATEISI ELECTRONICS CO. 11 Oct., 1968 [12 Oct., 1967], No. 48238/68. Heading F2V. Valve piston 7 is moved from end to end of a sleeve 6 by a snap-acting spring linkage under the control of push button 15. The piston has transverse bores 23, 24 which co-operate with bores 20, 21, 22 and grooves 28, 29 in the sleeve, and passages 30, 31 in block 4, to establish communication between inlet 17 and either an outlet 18 or an atmospheric exhaust 19. The actuating linkage comprises a pair of bifurcated levers 9, 14, fulcrummed at 12, 13 and interconnected by a tension spring 10 which effects snap movements of connecting member 26 as spring 10 is moved over centre in response to movement of lever 14 by button 15. Figs. 7-12 (not shown) illustrate an arrangement in which bores 20, 24 are replaced by an annular groove (61) around the piston, and the actuating linkage comprises a pair of interconnected leaf springs (50, 52).
