1275659 Riding trousers A E CRESSWELL 30 Nov 1970 [8 Dec 1969] 59903/69 Heading A3V A pair of trousers is characterised in that padding made of any soft material such as felt, blanket material, a knitted material or kapon which will give protection against chafing, rubbing or bruising is located on each leg of the trousers across the parts of the trouser legs covering the inner parts of the calf, knee, thigh and seat, extending from at least the lower parts of the calf portions to the knee portions, and also if desired from the knee portion to the seat portion. In addition, means are provided at the lower part of each leg of the trousers to hold said lower parts in the correct positions when they are worn. The padding may consist of two layers of blanket material covered by a layer of a smooth, non- abrasive material such as calico being secured onto the interior surface of the trousers. The padding and covering may be secured to the trousers either by stitching or by means of adhesive. Said means to hold the lower parts of the trouser legs in their correct positions may consist of loops of leather, or plastic material, or by means of buckels or straps secured to each side of the trouser leg.
