1275454 Exposure control apparatus KOMBINAT VEB PENTACON DRESDEN KAMERA-UND KINOWERKE 13 June 1969 30047/69 Heading G2A An indicator for an exposure device comprises two lamps 1 and 8 the brightness of which are compared to assess over, under exposure, or correct exposure, The lamp 1 is illuminated independently of the exposure setting by voltage source 4, while lamp 8 is supplied through a photo-conductive cell 5 exposed to the light of the picture taking ray path. Resistances 6 and 7 are coupled to member for exposure time and film sensitivity and with a diaphragm setting member. Each lamp 1 and 8 is behind an adjoining transparent surface 11, 12 covered with a strip 14 of varying transparency. In use, if the surface 11 visible beside the strip 14 is brighter than the surface 12 then under exposure is indicated and vice-versa. Instead of lamps, electroluminescent plates may be used in which case a comparison of both brightness and colour is possible. In the case of colour comparison, one of the electro-luminescent plates is supplied by a circuit arrangement having a variable frequency influenced by the photo-conductive cell and resistances 6, 7. The transparent surface 12 may have sections of varying transparency each provided with a printed symbol which indicate by their visibility battery voltage.
