Abstract
1275214 Vibrators H KOPPERN and H SCHAFER [trading as MASCHINENFABRIK KOPPERN & CO KG] 25 June 1970 [26 June 1969 (2)] 30817/70 Heading F2X [Also in Division G3] A fluid-operated vibrator 15, 16 has connected thereto a fluid-supplying circuit comprising a pump 18, a switch-over valve 24, an amplifier 11 and an oscillator circuit 1. The oscillator circuit, as shown in Fig. 1, comprises three cascadeconnected fluidic elements 2, 2<SP>1</SP> and 2<SP>11</SP> each providing a logic NOT-function, and a resistive and capacitative or R-c element having a fluidic volume 4 and an adjustable, frequencydetermining choke 6, the elements being connected in series with the output therefrom preferably being taken at line 8. The cascade may be composed of conventional double membrane relays and may include any number of elements providing such number is odd and greater than three. The oscillator output functions to actuate an amplifier 11 such that a line 13 leading to an actuating-pressure space 28 of valve 24 is connectible alternatively with a pressure source 30 and a vent 32. In consequence, the switch over valve, which valve is subjected to the bias of a spring 26, selectively connects each of the two ends of the vibrator drive arrangement 15 with the pump 18 or a reservoir R. In modifications, (Figs. 4 to 6, not shown), the vibrator drive may comprise a single acting piston and the fluid-supplying circuit may utilize gas or liquid. Furthermore, the amplifier may be connected to a converter such that the amplifier output, in the form of pressure signals, may be converted into electrical signals which then functions to actuate the switch-over valve 24.
