Abstract

1,274,064. Racks; rack feet. PALMERSHILE CO. June 9, 1969 [June 21, 1968], No.29153/69. Headings A4B, A4U. A pallet rack of the type comprising spaced uprights (12, 13), Figs. 1and 2 (not shown) interconnected by horizontal bearer beams (18) with hooked end connectors (17) wedgingly engaged in slots 16 pressed out of the web 35 of the upright, includes a foot (25) which is removably fitted into the open end of the upright, the foot (21) comprising a square base 27 carrying four upstanding walls 28-31 which are separated from each other at their side edges and each wall 28-31 being provided with a pressed-out, downwardly and outwardly inclined tab 33. The foot includes a baseplate 22 secured by a fastener to a floor 19. In use the foot is pressed into the upright until a tab 33 snaps over the lower edge 41 of the lowermost slot 16. Each wall 28-31 has an arcuate portion 34 adjacent to tab 33 to bear on the adjacent wall 28-31.
